Regan is a teacher, a crafter and the person who notices when somebody is standing on their own. She leads the crochet circle and hosts the romance book club. Outside the club she teaches elementary school, has read something every week for 202 weeks running, and collects bookmarks from every bookshop she visits.

What to expect

Bring a project if you have one. If you do not, somebody will happily get you started on something small and show you the two stitches that everything else is built from. People like teaching it, so do not feel like you are imposing.

It runs as a circle rather than a class, so there is nothing to keep up with and no session you can fall behind on. Everybody works at their own pace and asks the person next to them when they get stuck, which is how most of us learned in the first place.

Everything here is free to attend, and donations are what keep it that way. They cover the space, the supplies and the running costs, and they let us add new free programming rather than charging for it.
