A real community built on a unified mission
Howdy! I’m Marco, and along with my wife Alexi I’m one of the co-owners of DFW Young & Social Club. Alexi started this club in late 2021 because she genuinely wanted to build a community where people could connect authentically. I joined officially in early 2022. I believed in the vision completely, and I was also frustrated that all my old third spaces had started focusing more on selling to the consumer than on building the community that brought people there in the first place. That isn’t a dig at them. They have different priorities and they need to make a living. But it takes away what a third space should be: a communal place for people to be themselves, have genuine interactions, and feel welcome in an inclusive, accessible environment.
DFWYAS is run as a not-for-profit organization, and we mean that literally. Neither Alexi nor I take a salary from it. Whatever hours, sweat and sometimes blood we put in is donated to the community. The majority of our revenue goes to the facility, the staff, generous instructor pay, and the events themselves. We never intend to take any profit out of it. All of it gets reinvested to keep DFWYAS around as long as possible.
Our mission is simple: making culture, connection and experience accessible to everyone.

What Does It Cost?
Most of it is free
Mixers, karaoke, potlucks, book clubs, coffee hangouts, book reads, crafting circles, theme nights. The list goes on.
Board game nights, LAN socials and a library of over 300 games that keeps growing, always free to use at the club.
Zumba, yoga, guided hikes and walk-and-talks. Cost should never be a barrier to taking care of yourself, so here it never is.
Any time there are events running, the space is open. Come and read, work, play something, or just be around people.

There is no pressure to be anything other than who you are. We're all just here to enjoy life together.
