A lot of what happens here happens because people give up their evenings for it. Members teach the workshops, host the socials and run the games, and most of them do it for nothing. The two of us who own the club take no salary from it either.
What none of that covers is the building. A 4,720 square foot venue has rent, power, insurance, sound gear, tables, paint, yarn, clay and a hundred things that wear out. Instructors who teach for a living are paid properly.
So there are paid events, classes and workshops, optional memberships, and donations. Everything below is what the rest of it costs, and exactly what happens if your plans change.
Pay for one thing, buy credits and spend them on anything, or take a monthly membership and stop thinking about it. They are three routes to the same events, not three tiers of membership, and you can move between them whenever.
Every paid booking carries a 9% club fee on top of the ticket. It covers card processing and the systems that run the calendar, the seats and the receipts, which cost money whether or not anybody turns up.
It is shown separately rather than folded into the ticket price so that you can see what the event costs and what the admin costs. It is the one part of a booking that is not refundable. Donations carry no fee at all: give ten dollars and ten dollars arrives.
You can cancel a booking yourself from your account up to 48 hours before an event. What comes back depends on how much notice we have, because a seat released five days out gets filled and a seat released the same evening usually does not.
Credit packs are good for 180 days from the day you buy them, and they spend on anything we charge for. They are not refundable for cash once bought, and unused credits do not come back after they expire.
Monthly only, deliberately: a year paid up front is a year you have to ask for back when life changes. Cancel whenever you like and it runs to the end of the month you have paid for. No cancellation fee and nobody will ask you why.
A slot is held once it is paid for. Reschedule free with more than 24 hours notice; inside 24 hours there is a $25 late change fee. A no-show is not refunded.
Weather, or anything else on our side: you get the whole thing back, fee included, or credit if you would rather. That is our problem, not yours.
