Whether you are picking up a paintbrush for the first time or just want a way to unwind, our workshops are a relaxed space to try something new. No experience needed, and materials are provided.

Some of what we run is on the calendar every month, and some of it comes and goes with what people want to make. The regular ones are below, and the workshops after them rotate.
Every workshop is led by a member of the community rather than brought in from outside, which is why the list changes: it reflects what people here can teach and want to teach.
These rotate rather than running to a fixed schedule, and we keep them seasonal. The calendar is where to look for what is coming up.
Step-by-step to a finished canvas, made for beginners.
Layering and blending, working towards a landscape or something abstract.
Trinket dishes, small figurines, and whatever else the clay suggests.
Basic techniques and stitches, at whatever pace suits you.
A relaxed introduction, ending with a first small project.
Knotting, worked into plant hangers and wall pieces.
Stamping and basic tooling on small leather goods.
Soy wax and a scent of your choosing, taken home the same evening.
Gem by gem, into something that catches the light. Absorbing in the best way.
Nails, string and a wood base, into a geometric design.
Cards, collage and decorative paper, run as a one-off when somebody wants to teach it.
Wreath making, pumpkin carving, and whatever else the month calls for.
Some of what we run here is free and some of it covers its own materials. Donations are what keep the free half free, and what let us try a workshop before we know whether anybody wants it.
