DFW Young & Social: New Beginnings, Membership Program, and More!

March heralds not just the arrival of spring but also brings a season of change and growth for our beloved community. Alexi and I are thrilled to share some significant updates that mark the next step in our shared journey, reflecting our ongoing commitment to nurturing our vibrant community.

A Leap Forward

This March, we're taking a bold step forward with two major developments designed to deepen our connections and enrich our collective experience:

Welcoming a New Home: On March 1st we will begin outfitting our new 4720 sq ft Social Club facility, with it scheduled to be ready for events by March 6th! It’s more than just a venue; it’s a testament to the incredible journey we’ve embarked on together. This expansion is our promise to you—more room for our events, classes, and, most importantly, for our growing community to connect and create.

Introducing Our Membership Program: In our quest to offer more value we’re launching an optional membership program. Filled with benefits and discounts, this program is a small token of our gratitude for your support and a significant step towards ensuring the sustainability of our beloved community. Honoring Our Roots

Dance has always been at the heart of what we do, a passion that brings us together. Keeping dance accessible to everyone remains our priority:

The joy of dance will stay within reach for all, with class pass pricing still being as low as 7 dollars without a membership. With the added membership discounts, this could be further reduced to $5.60 per class for our highest-tier members.

To support our community’s growth and maintain the quality you deserve, single a la carte class prices will adjust to $15. But, with membership discounts, the cost per class can drop even further, making our dance classes more accessible.

Expanding Our Horizons: More Events, More Connections

Our community is teeming with talent, creativity, and the desire to share. We’re expanding our offerings to include more member-partnered events, from artistic workshops to language classes and much more. These gatherings are the heart of DFW Young & Social, where members can showcase their passions and where we all come together to learn, laugh, and grow.

Supporting Each Other

We want to spotlight the passions and side gigs of our members. In the coming weeks, we'll establish a member’s wall for those who wish to sell, advertise, or promote their small businesses or hobbies at our new facility. This initiative is our way of supporting each other's passions, fostering a community that not only connects but also uplifts its members. This offer will be exclusive to active members in good standing and extended to longtime supporters without membership. Additionally, we're keen on partnering with member-owned businesses for vendor services whenever possible. It's about keeping it "in the family" and enabling us all to grow together. This approach not only enriches our events with personal touches but also strengthens our community by supporting member ventures directly.

A World of Adventure Awaits: Event Tiers for Every Interest

Life is an adventure, filled with endless opportunities to explore, and our new event tier system is designed to reflect just that. From casual hangouts to immersive experiences, there’s something for everyone. Events Tier-1 and up will require membership or a $5 temporary event pass. Event tiers are categorized as followed:

Tier-0: Accessible events like hikes and book clubs. Free/No membership required.

Tier-1: Relaxed events promoting community bonding, such as karaoke and board game nights Free for members or $5 Temporary Membership.

Tier-2: Hands-on events requiring dedicated instruction, like dance classes and crafting classes. $10-$15 for members plus $5 Temporary Membership for those who aren’t.

Tier-3: Elevated social events offering unique experiences, example are the Masquerade, Halloween bash and tea parties. $20-$30 for members add $5 Temporary Membership

Tier-4: Full-scale, one-of-a-kind experiences requiring vendor support. $30+ for members plus $5 Temporary Membership for those who aren’t.
