Romance Book Club Host

Regan is a teacher, a crafter and the person who notices when somebody is standing on their own. She leads the crochet circle and hosts the romance book club. Outside the club she teaches elementary school, has read something every week for 202 weeks running, and collects bookmarks from every bookshop she visits.

How it works

One book a month, read in full before we meet, and an afternoon spent talking about it. The list moves across contemporary romance, historical, romantasy and whatever the group picks next.

It runs as its own club rather than as part of the main book club, because there is enough to read and enough to talk about for both.

Everything here is free to attend, and donations are what keep it that way. They cover the space, the supplies and the running costs, and they let us add new free programming rather than charging for it.

DFW Young & Social Club is a not-for-profit organization and not a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Donations to the community are not tax deductible.

After something else?

The DFWYAS Book Club is the other one. It meets biweekly on a Wednesday evening and reads widely: literary fiction, fantasy, mystery, non-fiction and a fair amount that does not fit a category. Plenty of people come to both.
