A free, open evening built around dancing, games and company. Some people come mainly to dance, others spend most of the night playing games, and many do both.

My world has always revolved around making real connections: building teamwork at Southwest Airlines, mentoring leaders at Ericsson, and now running DFW Young & Social. My compass is simple, reduce harm, create joy, look after the people I can reach. If you are here, you are welcome. Come for a meal, a dance, or a conversation that makes the day lighter.

Alexi teaches across more than 25 dance styles and has been social dancing since she was fourteen. She started teaching professionally in 2016, studying under Natalia Lind and Michael Kuka, and has taught thousands of students since. She likes beginners best, and the moment somebody realises they can do it. She founded her first social club in Los Angeles in 2015 and runs this one now.

What's available during the mixer

Each mixer opens with a beginner-friendly dance lesson led by master instructor and studio owner Alexi Noble. The style is chosen to suit the theme or the mood of the month, and no partner or experience is needed for it.

The rest of the evening is open and unstructured. There is no fixed schedule and no required activity, so you can take part in as much or as little of it as you like.

A 2,400 sq ft floating floor

Mixed-style partner dancing throughout the evening.

300+ board games

The library is out and free to use, and there is usually somebody happy to teach a game.

Arcade and pinball

Five cabinets with over 100 games, plus digital pinball with 20 tables.

Supporting the club

Support the club

Admission is free, and this mixer doubles as the month's fundraiser. Drinks and snacks are available through the evening, and the proceeds go towards keeping our events accessible. Donations do the same thing, and are always welcome.

DFW Young & Social Club is a not-for-profit organization and not a 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization. Donations to the community are not tax deductible.
