About the Style
Salsa Rueda (or Rueda de Casino) is salsa dancing in a circle, a Cuban group dance format where partners rotate around the circle following the calls of a designated "caller," with everyone performing the same move at the same time. What starts as two people becomes a beautifully choreographed group experience.
At DFW Young & Social Club, we teach Rueda as a natural extension of our Salsa program, recommended for anyone with solid Salsa basics who wants to take the social experience to a new level. You'll learn the core Rueda calls, the rotation system, and the timing and awareness that makes group Rueda work.
Salsa Rueda is one of the most fun experiences in social dancing, equal parts challenge, teamwork, and joy. When a Rueda circle comes together with a good caller and a group that knows the moves, it's one of the most memorable things you can do on a dance floor.

Your Instructor
Alexi is our lead instructor, trained in more than 25 dance styles, with Master Instructor credentials in many of them and Grand Master status in several. She has been teaching professionally since 2016 and has taught thousands of people. Whatever your level, she teaches to how you learn rather than to a syllabus, and she is at her best with people who have never danced before.
